Toru Miyahara
PROFILE
After graduating from university, I began my career in the marketing field.
I have built extensive business experience on the front lines, engaging directly with customers across a wide range of areas from strategic planning, direct mail campaigns, and member acquisition to BtoC and BtoB product delivery and operations.
By overseeing the entire process from initial planning to reaching the end-user, rather than merely drafting strategies, I deeply learned the importance of "building practical systems that truly move people and drive results, rather than relying on desk theories."
Leveraging the problem-solving and project management skills cultivated through my business background, I established UNIMARU JAPAN. I am dedicated to building a program focused on tangible results and thorough, hands-on support to help every student achieve their goals.
MESSAGE
Throughout my career in the business world, I have consistently worked in roles that connect "products and services" with "people."
Through these experiences, I realized something profound: no matter how brilliant a system or strategy might be, what ultimately moves people and builds trust is "warm, human-to-human communication."
Driven by this foundational experience, I launched this service with a strong desire to connect people and to connect Japan with the world using the most essential tool of all: "language," rather than "products."
To help you experience the joy of conveying your thoughts across language barriers, and to create a future where everyone taking on new challenges in Japan can shine in their own unique way, we will walk right beside you.
JAPANESE LANGUAGE COACH
Chisato Kobayashi
PROFILE
In my previous HR role at an IT consulting firm, I had the privilege of meeting many global professionals and supporting their success in Japan. Having lived abroad as an international student myself, I deeply understand both the excitement of living in a new country and the challenges of language and cultural barriers.
These experiences inspired me to create an environment where foreign nationals choosing Japan can thrive and live fulfilling, authentic lives. After earning my national certification as a Registered Japanese Language Teacher and gaining teaching experience at a leading language school, I co-founded UNIMARU JAPAN to offer a more personal approach tailored to each individual's life and career journey. As your dedicated partner, I am here to walk alongside you and support you every step of the way in achieving your dreams in Japan.
A MESSAGE TO LEARNERS
To everyone living abroad with an interest in Japan, and to those currently living in Japan: What kind of future do you envision beyond learning Japanese?
Learning Japanese is simply a tool to expand your possibilities. In an era where AI and translation technologies are rapidly advancing, we believe there is a unique and profound value in connecting with people and sharing meaningful conversations using your own words.
We hope this learning experience serves as a catalyst for you to enrich your life as you move toward your ideal lifestyle and the person you aspire to become. Cherishing every single connection (goen) with those we meet, we are committed to supporting you with all our heart in achieving your dreams and goals!
